Johnson's Corner

The I-25 truck stop that has run around the clock since 1952. Its diner closed in January 2025 to reopen as a Black Bear Diner; the famous cinnamon rolls were promised to stay on the menu.

Johnson’s Corner has been the landmark on I-25 at Johnstown since 1952, a 24-hour truck stop whose restaurant and bakery were known across the state for their skyscraping cinnamon rolls. The restaurant closed in January 2025 for conversion to a Black Bear Diner, with the cinnamon rolls promised to survive the change; the fuel stop and store, run as a Petro travel center, never closed. Check before you plan a breakfast around it.
