Johnson’s Corner has been the landmark on I-25 at Johnstown since 1952, a 24-hour truck stop whose restaurant and bakery were known across the state for their skyscraping cinnamon rolls. The original restaurant closed in January 2025, and the Black Bear Diner that took its place opened on May 20, 2025: big breakfasts all day, burgers, pot pies and the chain’s bear-themed decor, with Johnson’s Corner cinnamon rolls kept on the menu. The diner is open 6 am to 10 pm daily; the fuel stop and store, run as a Petro travel center, never closed and still run around the clock.
